# Basic information
By setting sales categories, merchants can attract affiliates who are good at promoting corresponding categories, sell products to precise customers, and improve conversions.
Affiliates can see the merchant's sales categories on the merchant's affiliate portal.
### Shop Currency Code
RecomSale automatically syncs your store currency code from Shopify, and commissions for affiliate orders will be calculated and paid in that currency.
